About us

Behavioral neurology is a subspecialty of neurology. It covers the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders – that means dysfunctions of cognition, behaviour and emotions. The main topics are:

  • clinical measurement of functional mental disorders caused by brain injury
  • investigation of the anatomical and biological foundation of mental disorders
  • analysis of the pathogenesis of mental disorders
  • delivery of evidence concerning the etiology
  • statements to the course and prognosis of mental disorders
  • proposals concerning therapy and rehabilitation if advisable
